Alexandria University now rank 303 due to the times higher education between the world universities,
Alexandria University has the expertise and competences is managing the research & the education
enhancement project , now AU manage 62 running projects funded through national & international
funding agencies. The university expert in the mobility program , it manage 3 mobility project for
students and staff exchange between Egypt and the EU Universities. The University has a center of
excellence called Grants, Innovation and technology transfer center The Grants, Innovation &
Technology Transfer Center was established in 2009 includes three main offices:
•Grants & Outreach Office (GOO)
•Intellectual Properties Right Office (IPRO)
• Technology Transfer and Industry Collaborative Office (TTICO)
this center aim to assists researchers, students, staff, and industry partners in obtaining grant funding
to sponsor their research & mobility. Also assist in the proposal development from conceptualization to
final proposal submission, play important role in maintaining strong relationships with funders and also
plays a key role in forming collaborative partnerships with industry partners and community
organizations to support common proposals and jointly apply for funding , he is the focal point between
the university and all the international and national funding agencies, the center is responsible for the
management of all the running project at the university ,support, create, plan, develop, and facilitate
productive and growing relationships between university and industry, promote and facilitate the
transfer of Alexandria University innovations for the benefit of the University community and the public
in addition to manage the transfer of university technologies by assessing the market demand, the
center also is responsible for protecting, managing and licensing the intellectual property of Alexandria
University, including inventions in the medical, life science, engineering science and physical sciences
sectors, copyright-protected materials such as software and images, and tangible research materials.

-Production of biodiesel from algae in selected Mediterranean countries (MED-Algae)
-Management of port areas in the Mediterranean Sea Basin (MAPMED)
•Project Funded through RDI Program:
-Innovation renewable energy (RE) driven – multi stage flash (MSF) system with salts precipitator and filtration (NF)
feed water pre-treatment (RE-NF-MSF)
-Establishment of Alexandria University-Industry Collaboration Center(AUICO)
