Graduated in Fisheries Engineering from UFC (Federal University of Ceará) in 1982. He holds a Masters Degree in Food Sciences from UFAM (Federal University of Amazonas), completed in 1989, and PhD in Food Sciences from USP (University of São Paulo) concluded in He is currently a Research Fellow at the National Institute of Amazonian Research (INPA), where he has been working since 1988, with a degree in Technology and Innovation Coordination (COTEI), acting as Research Leader in Food Technology, and as Professor / Post-graduation Program in Aquaculture (UniNiltonLins / INPA Agreement). He has been a member of the INPA (CEP / INPA) Ethics Committee for Research on Human Beings for more than twelve years and is currently an elected Council Member of COTEI / INPA. In addition he is cultural agent of the Amazonian folklore acting like Coordinator of the Marujada of War of the Boi-Bumbá Caprichoso in Manaus-AM. In the year 2015, he was awarded the National Engineers Merit Medal granted by the CONFEA / CREA system, for the relevant services rendered to Engineering and Agronomy of Brazil.
