The Applied Research Network at Fundação Getulio Vargas works to foster and support the development of high quality research.

 Details about Expertise / Competences / Technologies
Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) is a foundation committed to the socioeconomic development of Brazil. It has more
than ten schools and research centers in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo in the areas of Law, Social Sciences, Applied
Economics, Public Administration, Business Management, International Relations and Applied Mathematics. The
Foundation also offers Executive Education courses. In 2017, FGV was listed among the top think tanks in the world
according to the University of Pennsylvania Global Go To Think Tanks official ranking and considered the best think
tank in Central and South America. FGV’s main subjects of research are business competitiveness, culture and
society, political, economic and social development, and efficient government and public policies. Most projects
are interdisciplinary. Within the framework of the Foundation, the Applied Research Network is the office
responsible for supporting the development of applied research projects that are committed to national and
international high quality standards. It also aims to structure a transnational network of researchers.
