 Details about Expertise / Competences / Technologies Reza Malekian is a Universitetlektor at Malmö University, Sweden and an Extraordinary Professor at the
University of Pretoria, South Africa. His research focuses on smart cities, sensors and Internet of Things (IoT)
applied in industrial applications such as in Agriculture, Transportation and urban planning, Water management
(quality of water), maritime, defense and Telecommunications which can impact people and society.
He has been involved/ is involved in projects in all above areas and publications derived from those projects can

He is an associate editor for IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation
