 Brief description of your activity focus I am a research project manager at the University of Akureyri, providing support for research grants applications and implementation
 Details about Expertise / Competences / Technologies I represent the University of Akureyri (UNAK) Research Center. I provide support in matching partners and funding
opportunities with research ideas and/or proposals and grant application procedures, as well as project
management assistance. My educational background is related to social sciences and public administration. I have
experience in selecting, supervising and evaluating projects funded by EU and non-EU sources. |
 International and national projects beyond EU Framework Programme Current projects (activities: project management support), 2018-2021:
1. Universities and Democracy a critical analysis of the civic role and function of universities in a democracy (lead by
the University of Akureyri in collaboration with partners from University of Iceland, University of Washington, University
of Jyväskylä, University of British Columbia, and the University of Hamburg; funded by the Icelandic Research Fund),
2. Inclusive Societies? The integration of immigrants in Iceland (lead by the University of Akureyri in collaboration with
partners from University of Iceland, the University of Tromsø, the University of Lapland and the University of
Luxembourg; funded by the Icelandic Research Fund).
