 Brief description of your activity focus Center for Strategic Research conducts fundamental and applied researches in a variety of disciplines in the field of SSH
 Details about Expertise / Competences / Technologies Modern University for the Humanities is the biggest non-state University, the MUH possesses a big
number of branches: today it unites more than 800 educational centers in Russia and abroad. Educational
process in the MUH is based on the satellite telecommunication educational technology, which
facilitates educational process in all distant centers of the University. Administration and control is done
through the electronic information and communication system, which covers all primary pedagogical
processes of the MUH.
Center for Strategic Researches (CSR) under the MUH was established in 2005 on the basis of few
scientific divisions of the Research Institute of Learning Psychology and Sociology of Education (since
1992). Nowadays CSR unites professionals in sociology, economy, management, political science and
marketing. The CSR conducts fundamental and empirical researches in different fields.
Our research spheres we could be fruitfull partners in:
1. Transnational interaction and transnational networks (Beginning and functioning of transnational
networks; Individuals in context of transnational networks; Transnational education; Transnational
interaction; Transparent social structures; Dynamics of social space in the context cross – cultural
interaction),
2. Innovative development of modern society (innovations as base of development society of knowledge;
Creativeness in modern society; New communicational technologies; New forms of social structures
organization and functioning; postmodern conditions of social development),
3. Human and social capital (Human and social capital of different social groups and in diversed social
contexts; Factors, influencing changes in human and social capital; Educational capital),
4. Soft power in modern world policy (critical analysis of soft power idea; perspectives of soft power in
world policy; soft power in state’s foreign-policy strategy; construction of Russia international image),
5. Internet – space (virtual measurement of social space; internet community; forums, blogosphere,
network communities),
6. Social modeling (multidimensional social models; models of social dynamics; decisions making models). |
 International and national projects beyond EU Framework Programme CSR has experienced a variety of joint cross-national research projects, as following:
Russian and CIS (Ukraine, Belorassia, Kazakhstan and Moldova) research on educational strategies in the
modern educational market,
Russian-Austrian research on organizational social capital,
Russian-Japanese research on Human capital transformation in the context of transnational communications,
Russian - Netherland research on Migrant flows.
