The Family and Childcare Trust aims to relieve the pressures on family life through 3 mainareas of work insight, influence, information and innovation

All areas of research around childcare, families, and/or parenting will be considered but our priorities fall under the headings listed below:
Childcare
Work that ensures a family friendly society and/or public services
Ensuring families and their constituent members are given a voice
Diversity/equality of, and within, families
Work life balance/flexible working
Commercialisation of childhood/exploitation/sexualisation of children
Families and public transport
Care of the elderly
Early years’ learning/education

 Research Activities

 International and national projects beyond EU Framework Programme
The Family and Childcare Trust is not currently and has not in the recent past undertaken any major international research projects although this is an area we are looking to develop going forward.
