 Brief description of your activity focus I specialise in psycho-cognitive and social issues underlying implementation and setting of technologies in organisations.
 Details about Expertise / Competences / Technologies I research into technological frames and interpretations of technologies and work on analytical tools that
can be used to gain information on the likelihood of acceptance of technology by individuals or groups in
organisational settings. Such theoretical frameworks allow me to analyse and evaluate issues various
issues including:
a.The use of ICT in educational settings especially in the science education.
b. The analysis and setting of ICT related policies.
c. The role of Internet based systems in the setting of SMART islands.
d. The digital divide.
e. 21st century education.
f. Software analysis.
g. Screen design and windowing environments analysis and evaluation.
h. On line communities and issues of Identification.
My Doctoral Thesis is titled as follows:
A Structurational Interpretation Of Issues Underlying The Implementation Of Internet Based Systems In
Malta
I am currently working on a model that combines Technology Acceptance Models to Technological Frame
of Reference.
I also lecture at the Faculty of Education in Technology Enhanced Learning where I look into the
possibilities that go beyond teaching with ICT to teaching through ICT by naturalising towards the use of
ICT in educational settings.
I have a first degree in Physics and Chemistry, I hold a Master in Science Education and I have taught
Advanced Physics at Post Secondary level for 19 years.
